My Tips for taking & passing – SC-900 Microsoft Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals in 2022

The core topics in the SC-900 are.

All Values listed above are subject to change in accordance with Microsoft’s Exam Guidelines, unfortunately I cannot guarantee that all information is correct and is based on my experience when I took the exam.

Ideally in this exam you should try to be focusing on the areas with 25% rating in this exam there are 3 while understanding the concepts of security are important most of the exam ways heavily on the Capabilities.

Recommended study options

1: Exam Ref SC-900 Microsoft Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals Paperback

This can be purchased on amazon for about 25€ really worth investing in as everything is laid out clearly, the chapter reviews at the end of each chapter really outline the important content for each section definitely worth the purchase for those of us who love to read

2: Udemy , this is a great place for purchasing practice test you can easily find some great practice exams for about 15€ , really worth it if you want to test yourself on random content in the sc-900 exam , just remember if you start memorising the answers this will not help you in your exam go back to the book and re-read the sections you’re not fully familiar with.

3: Microsoft Learn, it has loads of free content on the sc-900 with each module broken down I emphasise if you’re just starting out in the Microsoft security world its important you go through Microsoft learn as everything is broken down in it and the content is easy to understand

4: If you have decided to take this exam study for it , put aside 2 hours a day for 1 week schedule your exam for a Saturday or Sunday as these are good days where you might not have as much going on after a long week , schedule it for whenever works for you but remember don’t schedule it too late in the afternoon as your head will get tired and during the exam burnout can come through and ruin your chances of performing really well.

5: for me John Savills 2 hour study cram was a real winner the morning of the exam put aside about 3 hours before your 30 minute check in windows and do his 2 hour study cram alongside your own revision for your study notes , if you have followed my advice your more then likely to succeed if all 5 steps have been followed johns 2 hour cram session can be found on YouTube.
